21 Days of Prayer

Church Leadership & Vision

(James 1:5; Proverbs 16:9)

Welcome to Day 7 of 21 Days of Prayer

For the past week, we have focused on our Identity, Power, and the Fruit the Spirit produces in us. Today, we bring that focus to our collective journey: the Leadership and Vision of Transformation Life Church (TLC).

Leadership matters. Scripture makes it clear that none of us can guide God’s people through complex times without God’s wisdom.

We are anchoring our prayers today in two powerful Scriptures:

James 1:5 (ESV):

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

Proverbs 16:9 (ESV):

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”

Every leader must plan—we strategize, organize, evaluate, and dream. But unless the Lord establishes every step, our efforts have no power, and our plans are simply human ideas. We are asking God to pour out His divine wisdom today.

We are asking God to pour wisdom over every person who carries spiritual authority in this house:

  • Our board and leadership team
  • Our staff and ministry leaders
  • Our volunteers and small group coaches

We are praying for alignment over effort. Alignment with the Holy Spirit means that decisions concerning our campuses, our preschool transition, staffing structures, financial stewardship, discipleship systems, missions, and the long-term vision God has given us are not merely smart—they are supernaturally guided.

Your 21-Day Prayer Focus: Day 7

Today, we are lifting up the leaders who guide our church family. Pray specifically for these three things:

  • For Divine Wisdom (James 1:5): Pray for specific, generous wisdom to be poured out over our key leadership (board, pastors, staff) regarding the upcoming decisions that will affect the future structure, finances, and systems of TLC (e.g., campuses, staffing, stewardship).

  • For Protection and Unity: Pray for supernatural protection over our leaders—protection from discouragement, confusion, spiritual attack, and distraction. Pray specifically for deep unity among all leaders and clarity in communication, ensuring they are aligned with God’s heart.

  • For Vision Establishment (Proverbs 16:9): Pray that the Lord will actively establish the steps taken by our leaders. Ask God to give them a fresh, undeniable clarity on the long-term vision He has given TLC and the courage to pursue it.

Your Action Step for Today

1- Action: Take a moment and speak a specific prayer for each leader God brings to mind. Call their name before the Lord and ask Him to fill them with wisdom.

2- Confession: Say this out loud:

“Lord, guide our leaders with Your wisdom. Establish our steps as a church, and protect the vision You’ve entrusted to us. We surrender our plans to Your direction.”

Walk today with expectation: When leadership is aligned with the Spirit, the whole church thrives.
