21 Days of Prayer

Discernment, Guidance & Wisdom

(Proverbs 3:5–6; James 1:5)

Welcome to Day 17 of 21 Days of Prayer

We are deep into our 21 days, and as we look ahead, we know that decisions matter. Next steps matter. Direction matters. Today, we pray for discernment, guidance, and wisdom—for every individual, every family, and the entire leadership of Transformation Life Church (TLC).

We must anchor our request not in our own intellect, but in complete reliance on God:

Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV):
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”

If we lack direction, we have a generous God ready to provide:

James 1:5 (ESV):
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

Wisdom is not intelligence. Wisdom is not experience. Wisdom is the mind of God made known to His people.

We need this divine wisdom in every aspect of our lives:

  • Church Strategy: Decisions regarding the preschool incorporation and expansion, campus leadership roles, staff transitions, facility planning, and long-term organizational vision.
  • Family Life: How to navigate finances, parenting, relationships, career decisions, and spiritual growth.
  • Personal Walk: Discernment to recognize God’s voice, reject deception, avoid distraction, and walk confidently in the direction He sets before us.

Today, we pray that God will align our steps with His will, ensuring straight paths, clear direction, and supernatural confidence.

Your 21-Day Prayer Focus: Day 17

Today, we ask God to remove confusion and grant clarity to every decision. Pray specifically for these three things:

  • For Strategic Discernment at TLC: Pray specifically for the senior leadership regarding key strategic decisions (preschool expansion, facility planning, staff roles). Ask the Lord to give them crystal-clear discernment and to actively make straight their paths (Proverbs 3:6).

  • For Personal and Family Guidance: Bring your family, marriage, and career decisions before the Lord. Ask God for His generous wisdom to navigate finances, parenting challenges, and major life transitions, removing the temptation to lean on your own understanding.

  • For Protection from Deception: Pray for increased spiritual discernment for every believer. Ask the Holy Spirit to sharpen our ability to recognize deception, distraction, and the noise of the world, ensuring we only follow the clear, quiet direction of God’s voice.

Your Action Step for Today

  • Action: Bring one major decision you are currently facing before the Lord. Submit it fully to Him. Ask for His wisdom, then pause for five minutes to wait and listen for the peace that confirms His direction.
  • Confession: Say this out loud:
“Lord, I trust You with all my heart. Give me Your wisdom. Make my path straight. When confusion tries to set in, I receive Your direction and Your peace.”

Walk today with expectation: When God guides, confusion lifts, and when He directs, peace settles in.
