21 Days of Prayer
Families & Children
(Deuteronomy 6:4–7; Proverbs 22:6)
Welcome to Day 11 of 21 Days of Prayer
We are reaching Day 11, bringing our focus to the very foundation of the church and our community: Families and Children. Strong families don’t happen by accident; they are built through intentional faith and consistent obedience to God’s Word.
God’s design for spiritual growth is not outsourced. Parents are the primary disciplers of their children. The strongest spiritual formation happens in the rhythm of daily life:
Deuteronomy 6:4–7 (ESV):
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart… And these words… shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
We are reminded of the powerful outcome of this intention:
Proverbs 22:6 (ESV):
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
This means the spiritual temperature of our homes—our kitchens, cars, bedrooms, and conversations—is the most vital part of discipleship.
Today we are praying for families at Transformation Life Church (TLC) to move from accidental faith to intentional discipleship.
We are praying for:
- Strengthened families: Marriages healed, communication restored, and homes filled with peace.
- Empowered Parents: Wisdom, patience, and supernatural love poured out on those raising the next generation.
- Protected Children: Joy in knowing God early, and spiritual protection over their minds, identity, and purpose.
We are also specifically praying over our preschool ministry as we prepare for its future—that it would be covered in prayer from the ground up as a place where children encounter God’s love.
Your 21-Day Prayer Focus: Day 11
Today, let’s pray for the life and health of every family and child connected to TLC. Pray specifically for these three things:
- For Marriages and Peace in the Home: Pray for healing, restoration, and vibrant communication in the marriages and partnerships within our church. Ask God to fill every home with His peace and presence, making it a place where His words are diligently taught.
- For Parental Wisdom and Patience: Pray for parents to be given a supernatural increase in wisdom, patience, and endurance as they navigate the challenges of raising children in today’s world. Ask God to empower them to be the primary spiritual leaders He designed them to be.
- For Children’s Foundation and Protection: Pray for all the children of TLC—from babies to students—that they would experience the joy of knowing God from an early age. Pray for spiritual protection over their minds, identity, and purpose, shielding them from the anxieties and confusion of the culture.
Your Action Step for Today
- Action: Take the name of one of our families here at TLC, and pray a specific blessing over this family. If you don’t know anyone in TLC to pray for, think of a coworker’s family or a neighbor’s family and pray over them.
- Confession: Say this out loud:
“Lord, strengthen our families. Build homes filled with Your presence. We commit to teaching Your words diligently, and we ask You to protect and guide our children today.”
Walk today with expectation: Healthy families produce healthy disciples, and healthy disciples transform the world.
