21 Days of Prayer

Life in the Spirit – Resurrection Power

(Romans 8:9, 11; Galatians 2:20; John 10:10)

Welcome to Day 2 of 21 Days of Prayer

Yesterday, we established our identity: We are children of God, justified by His grace. T

hat’s the who. Today, we move into the howHow does God empower us to live that reality?

We are stepping into a simple, life-altering truth: The very same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. That power is not just a historical fact; it is a present reality.

Listen to the weight and power of this Scripture:

Romans 8:9 & 11 (ESV):

“You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you… If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

This isn’t just theory. This is the engine of the Christian life. Paul confirms this radical transformation in his own life:

Galatians 2:20 (ESV):

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me…”

The goal is abundant life, not survival mode. Jesus said:

John 10:10 (ESV):

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

Your spiritual life is not powered by sheer discipline, grit, or effort alone. It is powered by resurrection life—the Spirit of the living God actively breathing strength, passion, fire, and vitality into every single part of you.

I know there are people who feel tired—spiritually, emotionally, physically. Maybe you feel stuck, numb, or overwhelmed. But resurrection power doesn’t wait for your energy level to go up; it asks for your surrender and receptivity.

Your 21-Day Prayer Focus: Day 2

Today, we are praying for a fresh, corporate infilling of the Holy Spirit for every person in our church. Let’s pray specifically for these three things:

  • For a Renewal of Vitality:
Pray for a fresh infilling of the Spirit where you feel drained or stuck. Ask the Lord to replace spiritual tiredness with resurrection strength and emotional numbness with passion and joy.
  • For Surrender to His Life: Identify one area where you are currently trying to “power through” on your own strength (a habit, a relationship, a demanding task). Pray for the grace to surrender that effort and allow Christ to live through you in that situation (Galatians 2:20).
  • For Corporate Awakening: Pray for our church family, asking for a corporate revival—a reawakening of dreams, callings, and boldness that is only possible when the Holy Spirit moves with power through the body of Christ.

Your Action Step for Today

Make this an intentional prayer and confession right now:

“Holy Spirit, breathe life in me again. Restore passion. Restore joy. Restore strength. I surrender to Your resurrection power today.”

Testimonies will rise from this—because where the Spirit is, life comes with Him.

Walk today with powerful expectation: The Spirit of resurrection is alive in you.
