“SECURE AND RESTORED”
(Ezekiel 26:1-28:26)
“And they shall dwell securely in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell securely, when I execute judgments upon all their neighbors who have treated them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.” – Ezekiel 28:26
Whenever I’m having a bad day, I often find myself saying, “I just want to be home.” There’s something about the comfort and security of home that brings peace to a weary heart. This deep longing to be safe, to be cared for, and to be at rest is exactly what God promises His people. After times of trouble, He promises we will find peace, rebuild what was broken, and dwell safely in His presence.
After chapters of warnings and judgment we find words of hope in Ezekiel 28:26. God promises his people not just survival but peace and security. They will build homes and plant vineyards, both symbols of restoration and hope. No matter what the storms around us may bring, God’s care is steady, and His restoration is complete.
This verse of hope reminds us that no matter what trials or losses we might face, God is faithful to bring us back to a place of peace and safety. He is not a distant judge but a loving protector who desires to restore every broken part of our lives. When we lean on Him, we can confidently build and grow, knowing that His presence secures our future.
Simple Truth:
God offers us a secure place to rest and rebuild and gives us true peace that lasts.
Reflections:
- When you feel overwhelmed, how can you remind yourself that God is your secure home?
- What parts of your life need God’s restoring peace today?
Application:
- Turn to God when you long for peace and security.
- Trust that He is working to restore what feels broken.
- Build your life on the foundation of God’s protection and care.
- Remember His promises when facing uncertainty or fear.
Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being my safe home when life feels hard. Help me to rest in Your security and trust Your promise of restoration. Let me find peace in You, no matter what storms come. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
