About our Author

Vanessa Abrisqueta serves as the Children and Family Pastor at Transformation Life Church. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, she brings a multicultural perspective to her child discipleship ministry. Before answering God’s call to ministry, Vanessa spent over a decade in education as a teacher and principal, equipping her with insight into how children learn and grow. Her classroom experience fostered her conviction that every child can meaningfully connect with God when given appropriate support. Vanessa has completed the first of three phases in the Assemblies of God credentialing process. Over twenty years ago, she met her husband, Johnnattan, at Saint Peter’s University, where they majored in Mathematics and Biology. At the heart of her child discipleship philosophy is authentic spiritual formation: partnership between families and church where children discover God’s love, develop Spirit-led relationships with Him, and do His work in the world.
