Counseling Referrals at Transformation Life Church
A safe and confidential next step for healing, clarity, and support.
At Transformation Life Church, we believe seeking help is a wise and courageous step toward healing. While TLC does not provide counseling services directly, we do offer referrals to trusted, licensed professionals who share our values of care, integrity, and compassion.
*This request is for referral information only.
Why We Offer Referrals
We believe God heals through prayer, community, and wise care. Seeking counseling is not a lack of faith. It can be a meaningful step toward wholeness and stewardship of the life God has entrusted to you.
Our role as a church is to walk with people, pray with them, and help connect them to trusted, licensed professionals when additional support may be helpful.
How Do I Know If Counseling Might Help?
You may consider counseling when:
• your problem is getting worse, not better
• you can no longer manage an issue on your own
• your life is being harmed by a problem you cannot seem to solve
• you are afraid, anxious, or worried most of the time
• you have lost interest in life or feel it is not worth living
• you feel depressed, discouraged, or hopeless
• your relationships are marked by ongoing conflict
• you feel stuck in repeated harmful patterns of behavior
• you can’t seem to move past something from your past
• you struggle to form or maintain healthy relationships
• you feel distant from God or spiritually disconnected
• you are experiencing eating, sleeping, or daily rhythm issues
If any of this resonates, counseling can be a wise and grace-filled next step.
How Do I Know If My Child Might Benefit From Counseling?
Children often express stress, confusion, or pain through changes in behavior. You may want to consider counseling if your child is:
- behaving in ways that seem far younger or older than expected
- experiencing ongoing trouble with sleep or appetite
- struggling to connect with peers or frequently withdrawing
- adjusting to a major or distressing life event
- showing frequent anger, defiance, or aggressive behavior
- engaging in repeated dishonesty or risky behavior
- consistently facing discipline issues at school
- acting in ways that harm themselves, others, or property
- appearing unusually quiet, sad, or emotionally flat
- showing high levels of worry or nervousness
- expressing low confidence or negative self-talk
- unable to tolerate mistakes or normal imperfection
- talking about death, self-harm, or hopelessness
- reacting strongly to criticism or perceived failure
Seeking counseling for your child is not a sign of failure. It is an act of care, protection, and advocacy.

Experiences Shared by Counseling Clients
The following statements are shared anonymously and reflect individual experiences with an independent counseling provider. They are not endorsements by Transformation Life Church.
“When I first came to TLC, I was in the midst of a difficult crisis in my life. I came to the altar & cried out to God in emotional pain. Someone came up to me & prayed with me & I shared my pain & that I desperately needed someone trained to talk to. I was connected with Jerome.
I met with Jerome at the church & he listened, with kindness & love, & told me that TLC (& Pastor Jim) was a safe place for me. We continued to meet once a week, as he generously gave of his time as a true example of his Christian faith.
Jerome helped me through a most difficult time & prayed with me & I will always appreciate & be bonded to him because of his sacrificial love & acceptance.
He is also a reflection of the type of church that TLC strives to be, serving & worshipping alongside each other.
God bless them all as they serve & continue to do God’s will.”
“I am so grateful for the support I received from Dr Jerome
I was not dealing well with fear and anxiety after I retired and began to see Jerome weekly
Through his expertise, he was able to pinpoint areas in my past that I wasn’t aware of that were leading me down the road of anxiety.
After three or four sessions, I have been on the road to recovery.
I am so grateful.“
“Therapy with Jerome helped me see my feelings in a new way and gave me tools to manage my emotions at home. He also helped me relate to my son in a healthier way. This experience has brought me greater peace and understanding.”
“I am grateful for my time with Dr. Jerome. Through our sessions, he helped provide clarity during a difficult situation I was experiencing. He also helped me identify how to navigate it and provide sources linked to scripture to make it all come together. Once again, thank you very much for your help and support during this time.“
“During counseling with Pastor Jim last year, he recommended that I see Jerome to complement my spiritual guidance with professional therapy. At first, I was hesitant because I had never been to therapy before. Still, I quickly realized how important those sessions were in helping me process a major life-changing event and develop healthy coping skills. Jerome was incredibly kind, patient, personable, and a good listener, which made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. We prayed before and after every session, and I truly saw how God can use the psychological and the spiritual to bring healing to one’s life. I am so grateful for the way God used the therapy sessions to bring clarity, peace, and growth into my life.”
