WEEK 8 DAY 5 — CALLED TO COMPASSION
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’
And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!'” — Isaiah 6:8
At Transformation Life Church, missions isn’t just a department or a line item in our budget; it is
a vital part of our DNA. We believe that the Gospel isn’t just meant to be heard—it’s meant to be
felt. Whether it’s across the street or across the border, we are called to be the hands and feet
of Jesus.
Missions begin with a moment of listening. In this scripture, Isaiah doesn’t wait for a detailed
itinerary or a guarantee of comfort before he responds. He simply hears the heart of God for the
lost and offers himself as the solution.
Healing Bodies and Souls
For over three years, Transformation Life Church has been the hands and feet of Jesus in
Guadalajara, Mexico. We’ve joined missionaries Chris and Julie Abiuso, along with the local
church Centro Cristiano Nueva Vida to help with their vision for the lost.
At TLC, we see this same “Isaiah spirit” in our medical professionals and our construction
teams. When the need in Guadalajara was presented, you didn’t just see a problem; you saw
an opportunity to say, “Send me.” Whether you are a doctor providing healing, a donor
providing bricks for an Orphanage that will house over 25 beds, or a prayer warrior, you are
answering that same divine call. God is still asking who will go and who will help. When we
serve the “least of these,” we are telling the Lord: I am here, and I am ready.
A Home for the Fatherless
The completion of this orphanage is within reach, but the work isn’t finished until the doors are
open. We are answering the call of James 1:27 to provide for the fatherless in their time of
greatest need. For children who have spent their lives without a family to lean on, this isn’t just a
building—it’s a new beginning in life. We are creating a space where over 25 young lives will
find the hope they’ve been denied and the safety they deserve. Let’s build their future together.”
The Finish Line is in Sight
Our goal is to complete the orphanage this year. We have the blueprints, we have the
passion, and we have the vision—now, we need the collective strength of our church family to
cross the finish line.
Reflect: Missions is not just for those who “go.” It is for those who pray, those who
give, and those who send. For Every life receiving medical attention and every brick
laid in Guadalajara is a testament to the generosity of Transformation Life Church.
How You Can Help
To finish this project, we are asking for your support in three ways:
1. Prayer: Pray for the safety of our teams and for the children who will soon call this
orphanage home.
2. Participation: If you are a healthcare professional, or love to work with your hands or
just have a heart for service, consider joining our next trip.
3. Provision: We are seeking the final funds to complete construction. Every gift, no matter
the size, brings a child one step closer to a warm bed.
Let’s finish strong for the Kingdom.
