“GOD’S WORD IS HIS JUDGMENT”
(Psalm 119:89–176)

“You are righteous, Lord, and your laws are right.” – Psalm 119:137

We’ve all seen someone make an unfair choice. We’ve also been that person making an unfair choice. It feels bad when the wrong decision is made. People do not always judge fairly, but God always does. His Word is not only a book of promises. It is also His rule for what is right and wrong. His judgment is perfect because He is perfect.

In Psalm 119:88–176 the writer says that God’s Word is pure and true. God’s commands are always right and they never change. God’s judgment is based on truth, not on feelings or opinions. This means His choices are always fair. Even when the writer faced trouble from people who did not care about God, he felt peace knowing that God would judge in the right way.

God’s judgment is not to harm us. It is to guide us. His Word shows us the right path and warns us about the wrong one. When we follow His Word, we find blessing. When we ignore it, we find trouble. The writer loved God’s Word because it kept him close to God and away from sin.

We see God’s judgment most clearly in Jesus. On the cross, the punishment for sin was given, but it went to Jesus instead of us. This shows that God’s judgment is real, but it is also full of mercy. When we believe in Jesus, God’s judgment brings forgiveness and life.

Simple Truth:
God’s judgment is always fair, and His Word shows us how to live.

Reflections:

  • How does it help you to know that God always judges fairly?

  • How has God’s Word helped you choose what is right?

Application:

  • When something unfair happens, remember that God sees everything and judges in the right way.

  • Let God’s Word lead your choices every day.

  • Thank Jesus for taking your punishment so you could be forgiven.

Closing Prayer:
Lord, You are righteous and all You say is true. Thank You that Your judgment is always fair. Forgive me when I do not listen to Your Word. Help me follow Your commands and trust Your choices. Thank You for Jesus, who took my place so I can live. Help me remember that Your Word is always right. Amen.
