Why did Jesus have to die?

WEEK 3 DAY 5 — WHEN LOVE REFUSED TO PROTECT ITSELF

Why Love Had to Go All the Way

We talk about love like it’s a feeling. God treats love like a decision.

While we were still sinners—Christ died for us.

Not when we improved.
Not when we apologized properly.

While we resisted.

That’s not sentimental love.
That’s covenant love.

Love that absorbs cost instead of avoiding it.

What would change if you believed God’s love already went that far?

Application:

Stop holding God at arm’s length.
This isn’t about making promises.
It’s about stopping resistance.

Prayer:

Jesus,
I stop resisting what You’ve done for me.
I trust Your love.
Amen.
